Michael Venus has been creating and re-creating images all his life buy decided to start an ongoing project where he takes on the many influences that have shaped him. Michael is the man behind his ”Twin Sister” the ultimate Bombeshell Cotton who takes on his female role with the grace and poise of a supermodel. Together they take the viewer on a nostalgic journey through a colourful collection of pop and counter culure which are time capsules of noted moments which shaped and continue to mold the artist.

Michael works with numerousphotographers, graphicand make-up artists to create works and along with Club Card who sponsors and prints postcards which are distributed for free in the name of art since2001. Currently Michael is collaborating with Nicloas Jang and Rosomond Norbury and many talented others.

Michael has received National acclaim on FASHION TELEVISION in 2003 when they did an artist spotlight and covered the works at Michael Venus Rising”, @ One Point Six Gallery. More recently Michael has met and given his personalized payings of homage to Nina Hagen, Deee Lite’s Lady Miss Kier, Rough Trade’s Carol Pope and Boy George or Culture Club.
