Back into the groove!

It's Summer time and things are in there prime! The House of Venus has had a super non stop spring filled with tons of high profile projects and events....

Amanda Lepore and Cazwell were genius, Sammy Jo (Scissor Sisters Tour Dj) with Heloise and The Savoire Faire rocked the house and of cource Wiggle 14 with the return of Luka and Jubilee was another Venus Life Highlight. Not to mention we have been filming and wrapping Season 3 of The House of Venus Show.

In other Venus news "The Wiggle Show"- The Documentry is currently airing on Out Tv and now Here TV in the USA.

I begin a new chapter of nightlife at The Majestic every Tuesday night starting this Tuesday with rotating guest DJ's Robyn Graves and P. Deady for BULLS#!T Tuesdays!!! Lotsa New Wave, Retro, Rock, Alternative and Electro Hits...With $3 high balls, draft and shots- yeee haw! Cheap drinks and expensive sounds! Awweeooowwww!!!

MKW's Indy Movie "DEB and SISI" which I co-star in is playing at the Out On Screen Film Festival in August.

Return of the Venus...

I am back from my journey to Ontario visiting and celebrating with many great family and friends as I returned to many of my old stomping grounds.

In Toronto things were fun with some Grace ( in my face) and John (Major Fred Perry Rep and rocker), Stepher and Adam, Scottie, Shane, Stink Mitt with Big Stuff at The Drake, Cam at The Beaver, Mikela Jay (Singer sister, actress, Model etc) and her cosmic sisters -beautiful punkette Andrea and actress/photographer Justine Warrington. I'd also love to thank recently elected NDP Candidate El- Farouk Khaki for his yummy food and warm hopitality along with his boyfriend (my dear pal) the talented Troy Jackson. Also check out Riverdalle Farms for the seasonal Farmer's Market ( and all Greater Toronto's Farmer's Markets for that matter)... Sweet Potatos are Yummy!

In Windsor I had a chance to reconnect with fellow House of Venus originals Greg George aka Luka and early Venus Girl Starlette Jubilee aka Jeff aka Cherry. They were great and will be appearing in an upcoming video blog and then later a Venus Girl documentry. It was great to see old friends like Tony at The Avalon who gave us our first gig in 1993 (at Vertigo called Cosmic Extravaganza) and Linda Zagagalioni in her new fabulous Cafe called Talula's in beautiful Walkerville. Chris Mangin filled me in on recent art scene exploits and scenester gossip. Saw Una and she told me of the perils of The Capitol Theatre ( Windsor's infamous an historic Art and Culture centre) which is at risk of being shut down..again. I wish then all the success in saving this goldmine.

My brother and his Kiwi gal-pal and I visited some groovy cafe's all over southwestern Ontario like The Blues Berry in Port Rowan, Stir It Up in Brantford, David's in Port Dover, Sarafini's in Simcoe and another in Paris...Ontario! In Waterford I saw some folksters perform Irish classics on drunk drums at the most beautiful and renovated Town Hall.

It's great to be back and things are cooling off outside but heating up inside like Shine this Sunday Sept 2nd for Action, The Labour Day edition.

I start FASHION - Wednesday September 19th, where I will be playing great music and instigating glamour, fun and frolic at ultra chic lounge -1181. It coinsides with there extremely popular night to watch America's Next Top Model that happens right before. Sept 01 07.

Fun in the Sun! Funner under the moon...

Things have been nutsoidish as I am enjoying the summer vibes and the glamour of the night.

Had a blast with the R.E.M. crew while they were recording here in Van, getting ready (as co-producer and co-star) of Mark Kenneth Woods first feature which we start filming this week in Whistler.

Just back from Nanaimo visting my Bro can sista in law- had a blast at 70 Below the town's gay bar. Having fun at the all new Action Sundays' at Shine and music selecting bi-weekly at The Distrikt. Working on tons of new media projects which I will keep posted. Went to the Bjork Concert which was genius at Deer Lake Park. Wear sunscreen kids. - June 03 07.

Vancouver is Burning!

The city is a buzz with excitement and glamour! Larry Tee rocked the decks over the weekend with a star studded guestlist of hipsters and rockstars as every great House of Venus event should!

A special shout out to the R.E.M. gang, Larry Tee, Subpopular Bobby W., the Stink Mitt Girls, Elizabeth, Brian McQueen-Cartier Glamour maker extraordinaire, Distrikt Fridays, The Opus Hotel, Dick n Al, MKW, Tommy D., Siobahon aka Senora, The real David Carter and all the cool cats in the Couv that are rocking this evergrowing city of cities.

Come and check out the Lust Ball this Thursday May 17th with Porn Star Johnny Hazzard and then the return of The House of Venus at Shine with Action Sundays on the 20th for a long weekend Glam Fest! - May 14 07.

April showers bring May Towers...

The city is in full bloom with new blossoms and new buildings. Newness and change is in the air as future chapters begin. I am no longer at Celebrities Nightclub doing full time promotions but will continue seeing through some big shows there like Superstar Dj/Producer Larry Tee on Saturday May 12th, Porn Star Johnny Hazzard on Thursday May 17 and the ultimate Pride Celebration with Deee-Lite's Lady Kier singing live and NYC's DJ Honey Dijon on Friday August 3rd.

Some other exciting ventures I am involved in are Distrikt Fridays with MKW and The Beeb where I am a bi-weekly Music Selector. The House of Venus makes it's big return to the all newly renovated Shine for Action Sundays starting Sunday May 20th with Dj Dickey Doo and an all star roester of guests. - April 30 07

Riding on Through...

I found myself delayed... The new year always starts out a bit queer but things seem to be back on track despite the mercury retrograde!

Been a keen busy growing bean, working on a ton and a half of neat-o projects. Trying to get a huge amount of Vanglam Portraits done, slowly working on season 3 of The House of Venus Show, keeping tres' busy at Celebrities Nightclub, programming tons of tres chic events, like Chi CHi La Rue, Larry T, Lady Kier (SINGING LIVE!) and much, much more.

I also Made (and plan on updating regulary) my very own YouTube page with the help of actor/artist Blake Mawson. Now featuring Michael Venus Profiles, which are great in depth interviews with intergalactic superstars of now. With legends like Lady Bunny, Candis Cayne and The Ones to name but a few.I will be adding tons of great art stuff, freaky retro fashion shows, music videos, Interviews with Underground Celebrites and so fucking much more!

Moving forward..

I'm back for the attack! Wiggle was a riot, some kick ass performances and star studded excitement. Thanks so much Opus Hotel, Funhauser, all the models and performers for making it a success. We kept mighty busy with Lady Bunny filming hilarious segments for season 3 of The House of Venus Show amongst the filming of an OUT TV documentary on the history of WIGGLE! I hope you are all feeling great during this crazy topsy turvsy season. Are you ready to flip your lid at Wiggle 13? The wearable art fest is back Thursday November 16 @ Celebrities Nightclub in Vancouver Canada. Doors are at 9pm and show is schedule to go on at 10pm.
